Recently Audi just launched its new A8. The main part about these cars when someone buys them is what am I getting for a +100K car? well, how about the world's first car with a navigation system with google earth! so now you can find all the nearest walmarts and panera breads in 3D. the question i have though is that with this new technology, will it be more of a distraction to the driver or will it improve safety

the rest of the info is here http://jalopnik.com/5427836/audi-a8-worlds-first-google-earth+enabled-in+car-nav-system

I don't think it will be more of a distraction once the driver gets used to it... It's cool, but yeah, I hope they keep their eyes on the road. I know when I use my GPS I use the speaking ability more - I listen for the turn-by-turn directions instead of staring at the screen.
