ABOUT NOW THINK NOW

Now Think Now is a social site where teens and other community members can gather and share their stories, ideas and opinions. Our ultimate goal is getting teens the information they need to make the right decision at the right time. Members can socialize about real topics with their friends and the community at large while at the same time earn points and recognition by peers. Points can be earned by contributing content or taking place in various activities, then can be redeemed for gift cards for food, gas, and more.

Initially, the NowThinkNow site will only be accessible to those participating in the Buckle Down program. In the near future, we will be opening the site up to all high school students.

After registering for Buckle Down, you will automatically receive an account on Now Think Now.  You will need to provide some personal information, like your home address, so please make sure your parents know you’re signing up! Once we’ve verified your account, you will be granted access to the site.

You can post blogs entries on the Topix link, and talk it up in the forums via the Talk link.  You will earn the most points for blog entries and forum posts.

A little clarification on Blogs vs. Forums: A Blog is like your Facebook News Feed. A Forum is like a Facebook Group discussion topic.

Oh, by the way – you can copy any story to your Facebook page by clicking Bookmark next to anything in the site, then selecting Facebook. You can also copy stories to MySpace, Twitter, or send the link through email.

We also feature a Question of the Week. Don’t forget to vote, send feedback and share your opinion on the question of the week. You earn points for voting!
Answer for Question of the Week:  You may renew your vehicle registration without visiting a branch.

You can track your activities on the home page, check out ways to earn points, get busy earning points and shop in the store.  Your Activity Dashboard is on the bottom right of the home page. It shows you the number of points you’ve earned, how many ratings you’ve received on your posts, and much more.

Please don’t forget to check out our sponsors who have made this site possible, and discover specials offered only to Now Think Now users.

About Buckle Down:

Buckle Down is a partnership between SNAP into Action, Inc. (SNAP) and participating Hamilton County High Schools. Buckle Down is a teen led, teen driven program that focuses on substance abuse prevention and good decision-making behind the wheel, with an emphasis on impaired driving issues. Teens in grades 9-12 can participate in Buckle Down by signing the Student Contract found here .

By signing the contract, you are joining your peers in the mission to reduce teen injuries and fatalities caused by crashes. You will be promoting seatbelt usage by every person on every trip and the elimination of dangerous driving behaviors such as speeding, impaired driving and driver distractions.

The student group at your school will be giving you feedback on the overall use of seatbelts by your peers who drive/ride to school. They will also be sharing great opportunities for you to gather, have fun and build a culture where you can talk to your friends and buckle down together when it comes to the choices you make to keep each other safe.

SNAP is working with the great community members of Hamilton County to supply gifts and prizes for you to earn during your Buckle Down participation.. Gift cards can be earned throughout the year.  Schools that meet the minimum program criteria can enter qualified students into the grand prize drawing held in May. The grand prize is a CAR and there are 4 $500 scholarships!

About Teen Drive & Learn:
